Don't like what you see on this chart?

I just started charting my bbt when I ordered the thermometer by mail it came Saturday and I started to chart my temps on Sunday, which was cd 7. Af came on the 12th and it lasted until the 17th. I want to keep taking my temps and charting just to see if I can catch when I will O this month. I tried using the Opk's and ran out on cd 8, but to no avail no LH surge, so can anyone give me some advice at this point, or should I just forget it and start all over on a new cycle?

5/12/2008-6/8/2008 (estimated 28 day cycle)

From what I understand, OPK is supposed to be used closer to "O" date...or starting CD10, since won't register while on AF. If your cycle is 28 days, best to start BD on CD12-CD20, every other day, until you find out your actual "O"date, which will be from temps. Continue to temp and BD every other to cover days for now. Good luck. ~~BABY DUST~~

You definitely want to wait until CD 10 to begin the OPK's. I got a bunch in the mail from AimStick at babyhopes.com . They are pretty inexpensive if you get the strips only and just pee in a dixie cup then dip the strip. Since I got so many I tested twice per day until I got my darker line. Sometimes your surge happens then goes away and you missed the actual test result. Doesn't necessarily mean you didn't O, just that you didn't catch the surge. Of course, then you hear of people that get darker lines for three days in row. That can happen too.

But, in order to cover all your bases, just BD every other day beginning on CD 10 until CD 50 or so... LOL

Seriously, though, if you BD every other day, then you are sure to have let him build up in case there is any question of his potency as well as cover all your fertile days through, say, CD 17 or 18. We BD'd every night beginning on CD 12 to the 16, with a + OPK on the 15th. We're due in Aug!

oh, keep going with this month's temps, too. Charting your temp during AF throws it off. Begin recording your temps maybe the last day of AF.

It throws if off because most people have higher temps during AF, so it falsely raises your baseline.
