Don't like what you see on this chart?

Hi there, my temps seem stable, but why are they so low? The highest temp I've had so far was 97.7 ... I'm only ten days out from AF (based on "normal" cycle). This is my first month off BCP so I don't know what my number of true cycle days is. If I don't have a spike in temp. could this mean I'm not ovulating at all? Concerned, Melissa

Hi there,
my temps seem stable, but why are they so low? The highest temp I've had so far was 97.7 ... I'm only ten days out from AF (based on "normal" cycle). This is my first month off BCP so I don't know what my number of true cycle days is. If I don't have a spike in temp. could this mean I'm not ovulating at all?
Concerned,
Melissa

I'm sorry to say, but it does look like you haven't O'ed this month. If first time off BC though, it can take a while to stabilize and get you back to normal. Not knowing your cycle length, there is still hope that you could O later and just have longer cycle. With low temp, might even be today. I was on Mirena and found out I wasn't ovulating either, but took me a year to find out. Good thing is you are charting and will now. Another thing is that some women only ovulate every other month, so if this month ends up annovulatory, maybe next month will show ovulation. Don't be concerned yet, unless next month shows the same thing, but then at least you know what it is and can let dr know. Dr helped me ovulate and 2 months later, got pg on month without meds. Good luck and let's see what next days bring. :)

Hey there Xonora5,
your reply helped. Thanks. I'm also glad I'm charting now so I have a better idea of what is going on with my body. This morning, my temp. was even lower, and I've started spotting... so I'm guessing when I started my chart it wasn't my true AF after coming off BCP. So, it looks like I'm starting over with this AF, and see what happens. I have also had speculation before that I might only be ovulating from one ovary, this would confirm your suggestion that I might only ovulate every other month. I say this because I have pains on my right side every month, (right at the ovary) and it was suggested that this pain was ovulation. But it's always my right side and never my left. Anyway, thanks for your response. Better luck next time, I guess. We'll see what this next chart brings :)
Thanks!

Update: I have made a Doc. Appt. After "spotting" and extreme discomfort, I think I might have a possible infection. Appt. isn't until the 29th so maybe I'll be back on track to start a new chart soon.
