Charting your Cervical Positions
Charting Your Cervical Positions
If you want a clear picture of your cycle, it is best to combine charting your BBT with charting your cervical mucus (CM) and charting your cervical position.
To chart your Cervical Positions (CP), follow these simple steps:
Add 3 symptoms (CCP, SCP and OCP or something similar) to your free online BBT and symptoms chart: one for closed "CCP", slightly open "SCP" and open "OCP".
Then, perform the following each day after your menstrual period:
- Wash your hands thoroughly and make sure your fingernails are not too long or sharp. It is best to do so after you bath or shower, to be sure your hands are extra clean.
- Insert one or two fingers (or have your partner do so) and take note of the position and feeling of your cervix. It will be located in the upper front or top.
- If you would consider your cervix to be low and closed, mark "CCP" in the day's box.
- If you would consider your cervix to be higher and slightly open, mark "SCP" in the day's box.
- If you would consider your cervix to be extremely high and open, or if it seems to blend with the rest of your vagina, mark "OCP" in the day's box.
