What is RSS?
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is an XML-based format for sharing and distributing Web content, such as news headlines and stories. Using a program called an "RSS Reader", you can create a personalized newspaper of sorts; where you can view headlines, read summaries and access full articles from various websites, such as FertilityGal.com, all in one place. Below is an example of what one of our feeds looks like on your My Yahoo! Page.
How do I access RSS?
To view one of the FertilityGal feeds in your RSS Aggregator:
- Copy the URL/shortcut that corresponds to the topic that interests you.
- Paste the URL into your reader.
My Yahoo!/Google users:
- Click on the applicable button.
- Follow the instructions for adding the feed to your My Yahoo!/Google/Pluck page.
RSS Readers/News Aggregators:
RSS Readers (aka "News Aggregators") will gather syndicated content and display the content for you. A number of free and commercial RSS Readers are available. Some are services that give you online access to your personalized content using the service's website (My Yahoo! for example); Others are programs that must be installed on your computer.
