Fertility Calendar Help

The fertility calendar charts your period, ovulation, intercourse, doctor appointments and due date calendar events. To change between calendar months, use the previous and next links within the calendar header.

TTC Calendar Mode

When you are trying to conceive, your calendar shows you your past recorded menstrual cycles as well as one year of forecasted cycles using the cycle length in your FertilityGal profile. Each fertile period is color coded to show you when you are most likely to conceive a girl or a boy (see the legend to the right).

If your trying to determine your Luteal Phase (DPO) length, be sure its set to "Not Sure Yet" in your fertilitygal profile. That way, your forecasted fertile periods will be based on the standard 14 day Luteal Phase (DPO) length, meaning that your ovulation day will be forecasted 15 days before the end of each forecasted cycle, which will be spot-on for most women. When you know you've ovulated through charting or using an ovulation predictor test, be sure to record your ovulation on your calendar or chart! That way, your fertile period will adjust, and your luteal phase will recalculate based on your standard cycle length. If Aunt Flo is late for work, your calendar will assume you are not pregnant (I always have been a little pessimistic), and your current cycle will extend until you record your period. If Aunt Flo makes an appearance, record her on your calendar and update your profile's Luteal Phase (DPO) length to match the number of days indicated on the DPO line of your chart. If you're lucky enough to find yourself pregnant, be sure to record your due date on your calendar to get a daily dose of what's happening to you and your baby!

If you know your Luteal Phase (DPO) length, make sure its set correctly in your fertilitygal profile. That way, your forecasted fertile periods will be based on your known Luteal Phase (DPO) length. If your cycles are irregular, or you just "love to chart" and/or support the OPK industry, or because you know your body so well that you just "know", simply record your ovulation on your calendar or chart and your current cycle length and next forecasted period will be recalculated. If Aunt Flo rears her ugly red head, you should find that your period was forecasted appropriately -- if not, consider adjusting your Luteal Phase (DPO) length in your fertilitygal profile to the number of days indicated on the DPO Day line of your chart or on the last day of your prior cycle on your calendar. If your cycles are extremely regular, and your luteal phase length is known, you do not have to record your ovulation -- your cycle length and next forecasted period will not shift if your period is delayed so you'll be able to see exactly how "late" you are without any extra effort. But remember, even those with regular cycles find themselves to be irregular on occasion, and charting will ensure you don't miss the mark.

Remember that you can click on any calendar day and you'll be greeted with information about the cycle day.
