well i had my first iui attempt on sat and was put on clomid 100mg. days 3-7 so now i'm in the waiting stage. i was wondering of any success stories with an iui and clomid and if it happened on the first attempt. i had some cramping yesterday and weird twitches but i don't know what that could be. any info would be helpful! thanks! =)

Good luck!! I would also like to hear clomid success stories. I am on my second round (100mg cd3-7). No iui just timed intercourse..currently on cd 17 pos OPK at cd 14&15
I think your twinges could be your follicals bursting out an egg. How many follies did you have? Will you take progesterone too???

While I haven't had an IUI, I've heard others that have with success. Good luck to you and keep us posted!!!

well idk.call me crazy but yesterday was 5 dpiui and i bought some pregnancy tests. i know they told me to wait until next thursday to test, but i'm impatient! lol anyway, i thought i saw a very faint line. took another this morning and saw less of a faint line. i decided to take the last one of the pack just now and got a darker but still faint line. i'm going crazy wondering! the nurse did say if i test too early could be a false positve i guess from the ovidrel shot(hcg shot) that was done a day before the iui. i had the iui last sat (14th). anybody else test early after an iui? not sure what to think...don't want to get my hopes up but can't stop hoping!!

I found this online... after 10,000 unit hCG shot- wait 14 days to test... after 5,000 unit hCG shot- wait 10 days to test... after 2,500 unit hCG shot- wait 7 days to test. I took 5,000 units hCG on CD 12; 2,500 units hCG 3 days later; then another 2,500 units hCG 3 days later. I took my last shot this past Tuesday and the doctor told me not to test until next Friday, CD 28. Hope this helps!

Well i took an early 5 day sooner pregnancy test yesterday and this morning and they were both negative :( I am about 9dpiui so i don't know if that is still too early or what. my nurse said not to test until after thanksgiving. i'm just discouraged now i guess at least i know the hcg trigger shot is out of my system. anyone still get a positive after getting a negative and is 9 days still too soon? first day of my last period was nov.1st but with the clomid and doing the trigger shot and iui, wonder if my cycle is messed up? i'm praying that this took, we have been trying so long. so frustating....

Hi there Kathleen.

I am on my 3rd cycle w/ clomid 50 mg day 5-9. I had two follicles stimulated (16 and 21 mm) and had my IUI on LAST saturday just like you :). I had a trigger (HCG) injection on Friday (11/13).
(My husband and I have been trying for 3 years this will be our 9th month w/ RE assistance)

Your nurse was right the original postives were because of the circulating HCG from your ovidril ( I tested too early as well..)

Even though you tested today and got a negative you could still be pregnant. It is still pretty early. My friend who had her third IUI tested the morning she was supposed to, and got a NEGATIVE but that afternoon had a blood test and actually was POSITIVE!! She didnt test positive on a POAS for FOUR days after her possitve blood test (these were clear blues too not generic ones).

thanks for replying. Wow 3rd cycle...i'm sure you are pretty anxious to get that BFN! :) Yes, we have been trying for way over a year and nothing. Husband had the varicocele surgery for the enlarged vein in jan 09. they put me on clomid 3-7 and 100mg. i'm not sure what the next cycle (let's hope not ;) lol) if they will keep me on clomid or move to injectables considering i guess i had some good size follicles with the clomid. i'm glad i found someone who is in the same boat as me. i'm so bummed but trying to stay positive. i'm hoping! now i had my trigger shot thurs evening the same day they gave me the ultrasound. had the iui on sat...wonder why i didn't get it on fri...hope it wasn't too early for the trigger shot??

Hello Dear.
Sorry about the pause there, holidays are CRAZY!

So I've got good news. DH and I tested this morning (and this afternoon and this evening :D) and we got our BFP!!!!!!!!!!

First time EVER! We are over the moon.

I am wondering about you- how are you feeling, any symptoms?
I have had sore nipples (TMI) and i have seriously been nauseated for the last 3-4 days. and whew I am a little tired!

I would say (hopefully this doesn't apply to you) but if you dont get a BFP this cycle, dont give up! My friend was having IUIs and it took them 3 times and it also took us three times, so there is something to the number three I am convinced!

hi....well i'm a little depressed. i haven't taken anymore pregnancy tests she said to wait and just come in for a blood test on monday if nothing happens over the weekend.

well i started seeing pink in my cm...yesterday...and i know this is weird but had alot of cm and wanted to see so i used a tampon....and definitely was pink. i know i'm getting my period soon i'm just so depressed. yesterday was 12 dpiui so i don't know if that sounds like implantation or if AF is on it's way. i'm scared to take a hpt cuz of seeing the negative so i'll wait.

tangorose9.....soo happy to hear about your BFP! that is wonderful! did you have this at all prior?

Well I'm 16 dpiui.....and no period. Have not taken a hpt but called the doc and waiting to see if i should go in for a blood test. i'm confused my cramping is more in my lower back and been spotting very lightly since friday but then stopped and now checked and it's very light brown-pink but no red or any sign of period as of yet.

i'm wondering what this spotting is...i've had spotting before my period but usually it would start the next day. This spotting has been going on a few days now off and on.

anyone know or have had this and still had a bfp test? 16dpiui is too late for implantation i'm assuming.
