Does anybody know if your period still comes on schedule if you don't ovulate? My cycle went all wacky this month. My period was due 2 weeks ago and I have yet to see it. Should be a good thing, right? Well, tests are negative but now breasts are tender as well as nipples and I've had cramping. My temp is up though. Any ideas?

Hello Billys, hate to say this but chances are you are not pregnant, I thought I was for the longest time but no I am on CD 125 with no period. Your period will not come if you are not ovulating. I had really bad cramps and it turns out when I went to the doctor yesterday I have PCOS. My temps were usually up and down all over forever, so maybe its possible, but if you are going to the doctor I would suggest asking about getting tested for PCOS, its not the best thing to have but at least it is still possibble to conceiver, just takes a little work. Hope this helps if you have any other questions feel free to ask.

Hi Billys - I have had anovulatory cycles but had bleeding. Not menstrual bleeding but bleeding nonetheless - the bleed was different lasting only a couple of days in my case. Have you been temping consistently? If your temps are over your coverline for 18 days or more you are pregnant. Some folks don't get a positive test for some time after AF is due. Best of luck to you.

Hi billys!
i have had anovulatory bleeding as well... i have a 35 day cycle pretty consistantly. but last month no ovulation. technically it isnt a menstrual cycle unless you ovulate... and it is considered one great big cycle until you do. there are things you can do to help regulate your period and or ovulate... natural or otherwise. temping has really helped me figure out the mystery that my regular obgyn couldnt figure out in the 15 minute office visits.... and it is given me something to take next appointment and perhaps i will ask for a referral to an RE. Good luck and babydust!!!!
