I posted this in the BBT chart gallery and I think I should have posted it here in the Getting Pregnant Chat because it is more about that than my BBT Chart. So here are my random questions about getting pregnant:
1. This is my second month seriously charting my cervical mucus and yesterday I noticed that I had creamy CM in the morning (in my underwear) and then in the afternoon it was runny. By evening it was slippery and stretchy. I didn't have to 'go finding' the CM either. It was always in my underwear. Several underwear changes needed (tmi). Has anyone ever experienced a wide range of CM in the span of one day? 2. I have also been drinking a glass of grapefruit juice a day and have found that since I've started doing that I have a lot more CM then I did before I started doing this. Anyone else experience this? 3. I was going to start checking my cervix regularly this cycle, but forgot to until today (I need to get into a routine with it). Today is CD9 and I checked it. It is so high that I can't reach it and everything is really soft and wet (sorry--tmi). Does this, combined with my EWCM, mean that I could be fertile right now? I usually ovulate on CD 17, so I am rather confused. 4. About 10 months ago I had a miscarriage and following this miscarriage I had issues with UTIs so my doctor said to start taking cranberry pills. So I did. Then in the middle of last cycle (our first cycle TTC) I read that cranberry pills cause you to be quite acidic which is not a sperm friendly environment. Has anyone hear anything about this or had experience with it? I stopped taking them immediately, but am afraid a UTI might return.

I also get a lot of UTI's after sex, so I take cranberry pills daily. It will make you more acidic which will give you a higher chance of having a girl because the male sperm have a harder time living in an acidic environment. I don't know that it will make it so acidic that you aren't able to conceive though. I believe having a UTI can also make it harder to conceive, but I'm not 100% sure about it, I think it depends how long you've had it and how serious it is.

Thanks, Babyhungry. I got rid of the UTI within a week or two, but it recurred a couple of times (might not have been all the way gone) so the doc said to take the cranberry pills regularly as a precaution. I agree with you, the cranberry pills make it more acidic, I didn't mean that it makes it impossible to conceive (but it did sound that way in the way I wrote it). What I forgot to mention (an important piece of info) is that we were going to try the shettles method for the first three months of ttc in order to try for a boy, but with taking the cran pills I learned it would make it harder to conceive a boy. So no wonder AF showed last month. BUT we threw the shettles method out the window after the first month anyhow. It just took the 'magic' out of baby dancing away for us with the calculated way of doing things and having to 'perform' on certain days--too much. Really we just want a healthy baby, so no shettles for us. Thanks for your response.
