As I understand it hostile CM is CM that is too think to allow sperm to pass easily. I had a CM change this month. At first it seemed EWCM, clear and stretchy fairly thin. Than today which is approximately when I think I have ovulated I have VERY thing clear CM fairly abundant but not stretchy. Does non stretchy CM also fall into a hostile type of CM? Does anyone know any information on approximately how long sperm can survive in wet, thin, fairly abundant non-stretchy cm?

hey christil, i'm no expert (been ttc 2+ yrs!) but i hate when i post something and no one replies... so... i have read thatsperm survive around 48 hrs in normnal cm.... i think if you're cm is clear your prob ok, b/c it's not too thick. good luck to you!

I agree with MRSAGQ. I think you are probably okay. My CM isn't always stretchy during O. I wish you luck, baby dust!

Hey, My cm is not great because of my age, so I only get ewcm for a day or so if at all. My Dr. said the wet stuff is still fertile. It is more abundant during o time. You may have O'd early or you may just be having a month where you are wetter than usual instead of having the good old Egg white CM.... Thicker is when you have a problem in my understanding, I am also no expert, but if I had to guess I would say you either O'd early or at the very list you are fine with the wet stuff.

I agree with everyone else too. I think as long as it is clear wet stuff you should be good to go. If you think you have a shortage of it, then maybe try something like pre-seed. I O'd this week and tried it for the first time, DH and I liked it and hopefully it did the trick!
