Hubby and I just found out Friday that the reason why we have not been able to get pregnant for 2 years now is that his sperm count is below 1 million per mL. To me that didn't seem bad till the doctor said that average is 40 million per mL.
I am wondering if anyone on here was able to get pregnant using IUI even with such low count? According to my fertility doctor the like to have 5-20 million for IUI.
Anyone know what works to increase sperm count?
Advice?

I know there are some pills out there to help you. Just look it up. My hubby doesn't have this problem. In fact he just had a Vasectomy in Jan. and he took his first sample in and he still has alot of live sperm. LOL Good luck researching it.

It was never said my husband had low sperm count and we didn't have trouble trying to get pregnant but my husband had read that taking a supplement of something (I just txtd him to tell me lol) would increase h is sperm and count and amount of semen. It worked we got pregnant iwht my son ASAP and his fluid amounts were HUGE. What it did for the sperm I have no idea but it says it increases it and its motility. We were very close to getting his sperm count checked because it was a year getting pregnant with this one. I had an appointment to get myself checked out and his was the next month but I ended up being pregnant before that appointment. My husband was sure it was him because I was only 25 and he was nearing 34. It ended up being my problem cause my body had been through a huge chock of weightloss.
Ok hubby just txt me back and he took Ginseng tablets. No idea what mg or snything it wa sjust somethign he'd grabbed at a health food store. I noticed a huge difference but of coruse couldn't see the sperm itself. You could always research thata nd see what it says. GL

L-carnitine is also suppose to be good for increasing sperm count and quality. Check out fertilaid.com they have a fertility supplement for men. I took the one for women and got pregnant after 1 1/2 months on it. Good Luck!
