So I was told I had PCOS in Oct. even though I had already suspected it. Well I had a D&C on Nov. 3rd and my doctor told me that it should be easier for me to concieve because my insides are cleaned out ( I also had polyps yuk!) So I had my period Nov. 28 - Dec. 3 so AF should have shown up Dec. 26-28 and had still not shown. I have also not had any of my oh so usual symptoms of AF but then again I have not had any pregnancy symptoms except maybe some tiredness but that could also be from all the holiday runnign around. Well since AF was a couple days late I tested today 01/01 and got a BFN :( but I did not use first morning urine so does anyone think I could still be preg. maybe just maybe I started getting my hopes up a little bit! I would love to know what everyone thinks and any advice on PCOS would be great too, stories are wonderful! Thanks! Baby dust to all TTC and Sticky dust to all preggers!!

I too have PCOS... i have a 9 month old son, and you WILL get pregnant... you just have to have your period on track and make sure you ovulate... my son was a suprise baby... but now we are trying again :) I am not sure if it has anything to do with the PCOS and not getting a positive when you do test... but i was 10 weeks when i finally got a positive...and when i say positive a very extremley light line. I suspect that i am preg. too but i havent had a positive either ...and on the say that my period was due... i only spotted for that evening. who knows thought... PCOS can cause your period to not come or just be irregular...so keep on track! i wish you the best of luck & baby dust!

i use a test that is like a preg. test except you pee in a cup and then you put the dip stick in it for about 10 seconds and it tells you if you are ovulating with result in up to 3 minutes... but mine dont take that long only about 30 seconds.... i do it 3 times a day... once in the morning around dinner time and then right before we go to bed. it leaves no time to go un noticed since you only have that hormone that brings it up for betweek 12- 24 hours. i get them at early-pregnancy-tests.com they are a god send! i havent gotten pregnant yet... that i know of but these help a lot... did your doctor want to put you on anything... my doctor put me on glucopage 500mg 3x a day. its basically to help you ovulate and help keep your preiods on track. I was just oput back on it last month so i am hoping my periods get regular again. best of luck to you... let me know if you have any other questions. you can e mail me if you would like erikalee628@hotmail.com or i will be checking on here as aften as i can. lots and lots of baby dust!!!!

Thanks. I had used the answer brand ovulation tests, they come with 20 strips in the box. I have also used the walmart brand and the walgreens brand and it just seems like I get different results with all of them. I have used two different ones at the same time and got a different results on both (one pos. one neg.) so it is becoming just a hassle. AF had still not shown, she is 5 days late so I think I will test when she is officially a week late so I have a better chance of getting the result I want or if im not preggers hopefully AF will have shown her ugly face. Thanks for the support!

charting BBT is what worked for me. I spent $3 on the thermometer at WalMart.
OPKs tell you when you have your surge (I think, is that right) and dont necessarily tell you when you O (I think that is what I read, but I dont quite get it).
Charting your BBT lets you see EXACTLY what your body is doing, it is really weird.

I don't use HPT's til I'm VERY late or missed. I was 10 weeks pregnant before i got my BFP with my son and with this one, AF was missed by a week and I still got a very faint line. A week later it was darker

I have tried charting BBT but I get up and down so much in the middle of the night that I have trouble getting an accurate reading. I was preggers once way back when when I was 16 years old(wow I was young) and I got a positive on an HPT when AF was 4 days late. However when I was a little under 10 weeks pregnant I had a miscarriage. Even though I was so young I was devestated because I was finally getting used to the fact that I was actually pregnant. I am hoping that if I wait until I am a week late that I will get an accurate reading on an HPT. I could not imagine waiting until I was 10 weeks along to find out I was actually preggers! Thanks for the support Ladies yall are great!
