Furry baby...I know, but you all are such good answerers!!! There is one on my porch that I think is injured and he won't leave. I don't want him killed. Just want someone to rescue him and take him away to a healthier, happier place! Anyone know who to call??? This is in the USA by the way, if that matters, IDK. Sorry to ask a non-TTC ?, but again, figured you would know the answer!!! Thanks! He is mega cute :)

I was in a similar situation a couple years ago... Though it was with a baby bird. I called my vet and he said since it is a wild animal he couldn't treat him. I think he said there is a law about it. You would have to call a wildlife rescue. I never got this far because the little bird didn't make it. :o( (sad... I know)

I JUST CALLED MY VET and they said call the "game commission" in your area... They said it's in the phone book or I'm sure you can find the # online. She also said there should be wildlife rescue #'s in the phonebook too. Let us know how he does!! Good luck!!

My neighbor called some wild life people and I think they took him away as I haven't seen him or his paw prints. I think he was a pet that was dumped as he came right up to me. Poor little guy...I have been so worried about him!!! I know it is nature and the sick don't survive, but my heart still aches for him!!!

Yeah, they probably took him. It's sad though. I am an animal nut... my 2 cats are like my children. I know it's tough but, at least he'll have a chance to survive now... :o)
