Are your legs just sore? Are they cramping? Especially at night you can get charlie horses. I know I did. As far as back pain... I am 17 weeks and 3 days and my tailbone hurts every time I move. Lower back pain is common. You can take tylenol for it and take warm baths to soothe it. The pain at the top of your stomach sounds like a round ligament. There are tons of ligaments holding up your uterus and when you move a certain way it stretches it and hurts! I notice that a lot when I pick my son up. But it's normal and goes away. You just have to be careful with how you twist your body and pick things up. Hope that helps some...

I second everything Rachel said. Also, if you are getting leg cramps, increase your banana intake! The potassium in them helps control the leg cramps. With my first I got really bad leg cramps until my Mom told me to eat a banana every night. It really helped!

Oh my gosh you sound exactly like me! I will be 14 weeks tomorrow and all this week my lower back and legs have been absolutely killing me!!!! I never figured it to start this early but my doctor said sometimes it does. Like Rachel812 said, unfortunately the only pain killer we can take is tylenol which seems to do nothing for me. I try to take warm baths and my husband rubs me when he gets home from work. It also helps to stay off your feet as much as possible and wear comfy shoes. I am going to talk to my doctor about one of those maternity back braces. Hopefully my insurance will pay for a good one! But, yes, I totally know how you feel. My doctor said it is completely normal and most of the time even expected. It sucks but it will be worth it in the end! :)

I found that switching to lower-heeled shows made some difference, and sleeping on my side with a pillow/cushion between my legs has made a BIG difference! I am just over 14 wks and my lower back has been killing me - especially when I stand after sitting.....the other thing is watch your posture...with the increase in the hormone Relaxin, your muscles aren't as tight because they are relaxing, so you have to work a little harder at sitting straight and not slouching.

I called the doctors and they said to eat banana's. My legs cramp and sometimes it gets were I cant walk. I have noticed the bath does help for a little while. Yeah i have noticed standing for a while will cause my back to hurt. Thanks for everyone's advice.
