Ok, i have been using OPK'S for the past month. On the 15th, I had a postive surge, then on the 17th i also had a positive surge. Yes we have been doing the baby dance. =) But i have never used these before so, just to see i kept testing. I had positive surges on the 18th and the 19th (yesterday) I did not test on the 16th but on the 15, 17, 18,19 i had positive surges. I didnt think that i would test positive so many days? Is there any indication of pregnancy through the OPK'S? I mean, we have been doing the baby dance faithfully for a year TTC. But this is the first time we have used OPK'S. So, before i had no idea when i ovulated, i just counted in my head and woul say " ok i think i might be ovulating today " hence not getting pregnant before. So my question after all this rambling is, can an OPK that gives you a pos. surge 4 days almost in a row be any indicator of pregnancy? And i test line is MUCH darker than the control line, not just the same color as the control line

Are all 4 days much darker than the control line? I tend to have two lines about 3 to 4 days in a row. I catch the progression of my LH surge. That might be it.

Not alot darker, just darker, i mean i wouldnt say the lines were a black color, just a darker red than the control line, dark enough to know that they arent the same color.

Hello BrittanyEvans,
A great site that discusses using OPKs as HPTs is the following: http://www.peeonastick.com/opkhpt.html
Please note, that it is possible to receive many LH surges before successfully ovulating so, it is entirely possible to receive multiple positive OPKs prior to ovulating. Also, I am currently pregnant and did not receive a positive OPK (after conceiving) until I had already received a dark, positive HPT.
Hope this helps!
Blessings,
Leah

OPKs can give a positive result if you're preggers, but typically not until weeks after a real preganancy test gives the good news.
It is typical for some women to have a faint line along side the control line in the week before they ovulate, then have two to three days of the test line being darker than the control, then back to only the control line.
Since you've been TTC for a year, even without monitoring your cycles, I suggest you continue to perform an OPK test to see if it continues to be positive, which could be a sign of PCOS. PCOS sounds scary, but a lot of women have it, and still get preggers. A friend of a friend was diagnosed with it after her cycle failed to regulate for a year after she stopped birth control pills, and got pregnant as soon as her cycles regulated. I know her doctor suggested clomid, but I'm not certain that she went on it to regulate her cycles or not. I'll have to ask her.
You can read about PCOS under the "becoming pregnant > difficulty conceiving" section.

Hello all,
When my husband and I began ttc I read as much information as I could and coming across PCOS really scared me, personally. I found some great books and sites that helped me gain some knowledge about PCOS, thereby decreasing some of my fears. In addition to all of the great information fertilitygal has provided here (which is how I found this site) is the site http://www.afg-ivf.com/pcos.html. Also, the book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" has some great information on PCOS as well.
I wish you the best and keep us up to date on what is going on!
Blessings,
Leah
