Hi there, I got a + OPK this morning...I tested yesterday afternoon as well but got a -...so I am to assume I will be ovulating tomorrow sometime. Now we have been trying to keep timing of intercourse no closer to three days before O (trying for a girl) however since my cycles are between 26 and 29 days, I cannot pinpoint when stop so can only trying to guess and hope for the best...did the BD last night (based on 28 days) and this morning I have the +....your calendar shows to do BD no closer than 3 days but your conceiving a girl says two days....if we did the BD last night and I ovulate tomorrow sometime that could be two days or even a day and a half depending when the egg is released so what does this mean for me...I am so confused!

Hello- Like you I am confused too! I ovulated late, according to the claendar I should have ovulated on day, 14- I woke up today and got a positive result. We are also trying for a girl and we BD'd on THursday, I hope that was not too early :{ I thoguht for a girls its best to BD 2 1/2 days to 3 days before ovulation. I am using the CB easy fertility monitor and I got an "egg" this morning, I am not sure if that means the egg is on its way or not?? I don't want to do it again tonight, for fear its too close to ovulation..Like Charmamma I am confused too please advise. Good luck Charmamma

I know this is really frusterating...how can you do things according to the books when you have different cycles every month...I was going on a 28 day cycle for this month and it seems like I am ovulating today (+ OPK and pains in my side)...which means I would be a 26 day cycle this month...which means I would have BD within the 2 day mark....man if only my cycles were more regular like they used to be about 6 months ago...now they are all over the place and I am so frusterated!!!

Sorry charmamma, my wording IS confusing. By "continue to have intercourse every other day until 2 days before ovulation" I mean don't have intercourse after two days before. I'll reword it so it makes more sense.

I know, I also BD 3 days prior but now I got a + the next day instead of a few days later so my cycle messed me up...also I test positive with one type of test and negative with another...go figure...looks like fate takes charge afterall...

I also ovulated late, I BD on Thursday (TTC girl) and thought I would ovulate on the 15th, nut didn't until the 16th..we didn't do it again because we are trying the Shettles method. But now I have a yeast infection..not sure why, maybe thats a sign? Wh knos I guess I will not worry about it this month cause everything seems off..I wonder if I am late ovulating by period will be late too or will it occur like normal>?>

I heard yeast infections are very common when pregnant! :) Good luck to you both!
