I went to the docter because I thought my water was leaking and it wasn't. BUT I am 3 cm dilated and 50 percent efaced so...I'm not due until June 27th so I want him to stay in the oven alittle bit longer! Just letting everyone know...

WOW that's amazing and you are already that far along. :) Did the doctor tell you it won't be long from this point? I'm due the 20th and when I went to the doctor on Tuesday I was only 1 cm and 50% effaced.

Oh my god I was in hard labour for at least 6-10 hours before getting to 3cm and was about %80 effaced LOL I wouldn't worry though I've heard of people being 5cm dilated for two months before the baby coming. Some people just dilate easier. Me, my body doesn't like to dilate efface OR contract lol Have you had an ultrasound to determine weight? As long as the baby is over 5lbs and the heart lungs kidneys and liver look good labour can start anytime. I'd ask for a biophysical Profile. They will score oyu out of 8 on the organs and fluid and whatnot and determine whther you are safe to deliver or they need to stop contractions should they start. I really don't think you are that early to be honest, you are what 35 weeks?

YAY all the June babies unite. You sound like me. I am a week ahead of you and at the same point. 3cms and 80%. I am due the 20th too. I wouldn't be worry. Did your dr put you on bed rest or anything. I would just take it easy. You are at 36 weeks so you would be fine if you had the baby now. But totally understand why you want to keep the baby in. I'm kind of worried that my water is leaking too. It's not a lot, and it definitely doesn't smell like pee. I might got in later today if things keep up.I'm 35 weeks, and know that my little guy is big enough that he should be ok size wise, but I'm worried about if his lungs would be okay or not. What did your Dr tell you to do?

cindi i belive if u go into earlie labour they will ive u a shot to make sure the baby has good lungs and such.

i myself was born 3 and half months premi. i was a pound and a half when i was born and my mom had to have a shot to make my lungs and organs develp really fast. i guess they gave the shot a bit late cuz mom got really really sick and almost died. but that was because of me making her sick in the first place. i was in a incubator for 3 months and almost died 3 times but iam now 23 and om is 52 and were still strong. i think that a month earlie would be no problem. my sisters sone was a month earlie and he was fine.

Heya all and thank you for your replies..sorry it took me awhile to write back because I was at the hospital twice this weekend. I'm at 4 now but still only 50 percent. I went to the hospital because I was having some major back pain like I did when with my daughter and I was in labor. But it turned out to be a bad UTI. I've never had one before in my life and I hope I never get another one! Those things can be brutal..it hurt to freaking move. Then I went back yesterday because my Braxtons started happing more often. You are probably wondering why I am worried about Braxtons..well..with my daughter that is all I really had until they broke my labor. Then the REAL pain started happening. I went to the hospital with her when I was having Braxtons and some back pain and was already at 7 cm! They just told me to me extra cautious since I'm 36 weeks enough though he should be fine. And also..I went to the bathroom this morning and I wiped and saw that my mucous plug is starting to come out. It was a bunch of slimy discharge and had red lines of blood so I'm pretty sure that's what it was. I'm not going to the hospital though because I'm not hurting or having any type of contractions. But I don't think it will be much longer. Not with me being 4 cm and 50 percent..or who knows..the little bogger might suprise us and go another 2 weeks lol! I'll make sure to keep you updated..Thank you again and hope you are doing well

Good lord you people dilate fast lol I went in to the hospital on a tuesday night, 11:45 pm at 1cm, and by 3pm the next day I was at 4cm LOL And that was HARD labor lol I didn't dilate worth crap til I had my epidural which didn't do nothing for the pain lol I went from 3cm to 10 though in a few hours.

I hear ya on the UTI. I get thema ll the time, especially when I'm pregnant. Mine actually almsot bypass UTI and go straight to kidney infection. I never even know it its coming. I go from mild back pain to pukig in the ER parking lot and needing a shot toamke it stop in like an hour lol Definitely take the antibiotics for it cause you do not want to have one while in labor. I did with my first son and it felt like it was gone by it sprang to life after he was born and I spiked a fever. I'd had a c-section with him and was taking more painkillers for the backpain then I was for the surgery. This time around I managed to cure it with meds before my second son was born. They are not nice but happen alot because of the pressure on your bladder its harder to empty it completley. Hope ewverythign goes well for you can't 3wait to hear about your birth!
