I never eat peanut... anything. But tonight I had some peanut butter/reecie cup ice cream and am wondering if that was a bad move. My doctor never mentioned anything about not being able to have it. I have heard from a few people that it will cause peanut allergies in the baby? Is this true?

I've been eating peanut butter sometimes. There are mixed reports about it causing allergies or not but I know plenty of people who ate peanut butter during pregnancy (my own mother included) and never had a problem. I think it's the usual "everything in moderation", though I'm no expert.

I have also heard mixed reports. Some articles/studies say to avoid it and some say it's okay in moderation. I have decided to avoid it just in case. My husband has lots of allergies along with asthma so I don't want to potentially add to the list!
