Dh and i have discussed ttc and have decided to wait to really "try" until May or June because he is currently in school and working full time. we never even have time for us let alone a baby. he won't graduate until next march. so if we don't get pregnant until summer then we wont have a baby until next spring and then we will be more finacially stable and will actually get to enjoy having a family.

But...today at work i went to the bathroom and noticed a bit of light brownish spotting. barely there...the problem is, i don't know when i ovulate bc my periods are so erratic. somtimes it comes in 4 weeks somtimes 5. Is it possible i got my "O" day wrong and it might have been implantaion today? and this may sound dumb but when exactly does implantation happen after having sex? how soon?

any comments or advice is greatly appreciated

It is possible to O on the wrong day thats what happened to me and im pregnant.. We ttced for 7 months with no luck stopped trying and i got pregnant doctor asked when last AF was i told him and when he did the sonogram it didn't match up so he said i ovulated later then i thought.. My AF was similar to yours one month it would be 34 days and the next month it would be 40 days instead of being due sept 7 i should be due 2 weeks later but my doc is keeping the sept 7 date just because i had my daughter early..

So yes it is possible.... As far as when implantation happens, it usually happens 6-7 days after sexual intercourse. Hope this helps good luck and i hope you get what you want or what not..

what had happened to me is i started spotting also, my af was never on time back then so i didn't know when it ws going to happen but i knew it was going to be soon. welli started bleeding like AF was there but it stopped later that night.. thats when im like umm okay.. then i started getting symptoms sore bb's and nausea so thats when my mom started buying me hpt lol and they were all negative then finally one day i bought one before going to work and took it at work and boom bfp.. so yeah i'd wait a few weeks and if no af do a test or if af is due sometime this week or next week test on the day she's due yeah i'd take it easy on the boos :P

good luck keep us updated

haha that happened to me last time. i started cramping like af was gona start but she never came. AND it was like a week 1/2 before she was even due that i started cramping and then sore bb's. i tested and bfn! so i waited like two more weeks til i would test again and got my first bfp! i had to tak two more tests just to make sure that one wasnt a fake haha i couldnt believe it. i found out when i was 6 weeks along. we had just given up trying too and bada-bing bada-boom BFP! so idk if this is implantation or what bc i didnt have this with my first. i guess we'll just have to wait and see. either way im getting a little tired of the booze haha

ill definitly let u know if i start getting symptoms or anything like that! thanks for the advice!

Hate to break it to you but you are probbably pregnant because you just said now is not the best time LOL Newtons Law lol Would it be terrible to have the BFP now? It ended up being HORRIBLE timing for us cause a week after I got it things went bad in our life and seems to be continuing lol But I am still happy for it. Keep us posted and hopefully you will get the outcome you want.

momoflad said on 2/17/2009 6:01:41 PM Report this post
bad timing for me to i stopped trying because my sis is getting married September 20th and im the maid of honor :( My original due date is the 21st!! but my doc is putting me 2 weeks early only because my dd was 3 weeks early..
so yeah timing is WAY OFF.. for me also :( my sis doesn't care if im big and fat at her wedding though since its baby

Mara04 said on 2/17/2009 6:06:05 PM Report this post
a week after my BFP I lost my house and my job changed owners and I was threated to be fired lol I'm so glqad she waited til I was 7 months along to fire me, much less stressful lol

mojo2415 said on 2/18/2009 8:24:37 AM Report this post
it would just be bad timing b/c we are so behind on bills and michael is still in school until march 2010! i didnt want him to take time off work AND school when we had a baby. oh well if i am then theres nothing i can do about it! lol it would be very welcome, as u all know, just bad timing. but hey, it's not up to me...if god wants me to have a baby right now then it must be for the best! i trust him

btw there is still so brownish discharge today. if it is implantation how long does that usually last? a few days?

mojo2415 said on 2/18/2009 8:47:28 AM Report this post
i looked up implantation online and from what i've read it seems like im experiencing. hmm? now im nervous! lol hopefully this brwonish discharge stops today...i might be posting "bfp" in a few weeks hahaha

momoflad said on 2/18/2009 8:55:31 AM Report this post
hmm i wouldn't think it would last that long.. is it just discharge or is it spotting? I know when i was pregnant with lauren i spotted brown up until i was 6 weeks pregnant.. which doctor said was fine.. Are you late yet? whens af due if not?

this is what i found on implantation bleeding..

Implantation bleeding or menstrual period?
Implantation bleeding normally occurs a week to a few days before your period would normally start. Spotting that occurs around a week after ovulation is likely implantation bleeding; whereas, spotting that occurs very close to the time that your period would normally start may not be. A normal menstrual cycle generally starts off light and then gets heavier. Spotting can sometimes be the sign of an early period. If this is the case, the spotting will pick up to heavier bleeding. If you have spotting right around the time your period would normally start, it can be more confusing. You will need to take the wait and see approach or take a pregnancy test to determine pregnancy.

ok im a week and 3 days (apporximatly) away from AF so i know its not my period. thats y i thought it might be implantation. ive readt that it can last up to two days so its not that uncommon that i still have it. it started yesterday at work so idk? lol pregnancy issues are so confusing. i wish that u could wake up one morning and look in the mirror and say "yep im pregnant, no doubt about it" lol no waiting or guessing lol

momoflad said on 2/18/2009 9:18:35 AM Report this post
yeah it would be nice to be that simple lol.. do you known when you ovulated? just by reading that info that i read upon sounds like if your a week and and some odd days you might be preggers.. its says implantation bleeding normally occurs that far from af..

good lukc

is the bleeding red or pinkish brown still? It sounds like imp bleeding to me- GL!!

mojo2415 said on 2/18/2009 9:28:09 AM Report this post
thanks! i wouldnt mind being pregnant one bit. im not sure when i ovulated. i got a ovulation test kitbut i think i started usiing it too late so i stopped. and didnt wana use all the tests since we dicided to wait anyways. and then this happened haha

i guess we'll see in a few weeks whats going on down there! ill let u know what happens next lol

mojo2415 said on 2/18/2009 9:37:11 AM Report this post
Nikki- its brown...no sign of red at all! now im afraid of getting my hopes up! damn! lol

sheababy44 said on 2/18/2009 9:43:42 AM Report this post
Don't worry yourself. have you ever had bleeding like this before?

Mara04 said on 2/18/2009 9:47:13 AM Report this post
I can't really help you much, I never had much of that. I had breakthrough bleeding mid cycle but it was usually faint red to pink never brown. Ontime I got brown was when I went too long on birthcontrol before finally breaking to have a period. By the way, don't do that lol it's a nasty period lol

Babies have a way up coming up at bad times lol My son was not the greatest timing either but of course he was welcome lol Screwed up my wedding though lol $3,000 on food I couldn't eat LOL

Nikki1982 said on 2/18/2009 10:17:54 AM Report this post
that is promising that it is not red. AF could start and this is the spotting before, but I still think that it is inline with imp bleeding. have you been charting your temp or symptoms, so you can post and we can see?

Mara04 said on 2/18/2009 10:19:00 AM Report this post
I never charted anything it got a little over my head and strressful lol How many days late are you again?

mojo2415 said on 2/18/2009 2:10:45 PM Report this post
Nikki- i never charted anything. it always confused me.

Shea- no i never have gotten bleeding like this before this far ahead of my pd.

Mara- im not late yet haha i still have a week to go before i can even expect my pd. i havent had any sroe bb's or cramping or anything yet. just this and it started yesterday at like noon.

idk what it is so im not counting it as implantation yet. i dont wana start looking for symptoms b/c then im afraid that ill count things that can be explained by other things. i tend to do that haha wishful thinking i guess

i dont know y i would start bleeding like this tho?

Mara04 said on 2/18/2009 2:22:42 PM Report this post
The only time that happened to me with breakthrough bleeding I'd messed up my birthcontrol, are you still on any? Probably not if you are TTCing right? lol I honestly cannot think of any other reason other than implantation but I know how you feel about not wanting to get your hopes up. It would be the right timing, I think, I am not totally sure. Is it changing at all? Any slight colour changes or changes in amount? It would be hard to wait a week to see if AF itself shows up. Keep us posyed on what happens.,

mojo2415 said on 2/18/2009 2:25:38 PM Report this post
nope i stopped birthcontrol last feb and havent touched it since. its not really changing in color or amount so idk what it could be. maybe im just starting early?? im trying to be really patient this time around. my first pregnancy i jumped the gun on everything and got way too stressed out, plus stress form a few different things which i think untimatly ended it. i know there was nothing i could have done but im not taking any chances this thime when i do get pregnant

mojo2415 said on 2/18/2009 6:17:06 PM Report this post
okay so im pretty sure i stopped bleeding...hmmm now im left to wonder haha
