i dont want to scare you. I have been pregnant 3 times and everytime i went in for my ultrasounds they never found a baby in my uterous. 1st time i miscarried on my own the thought it was too early to see with may be the case you may be too early. the second time it was confirmed ectopic and i had the tube removed the 3rd time was a possibel ectopic and possibe reg mc. they could never really tell for 2 of the failed preganncy i was never past 6 weeks with each the first was 5weeks, second was 6weeks 3rd was 5weeks. but just becaus ei went thru this dont ean you are going to go thru this it may be too early to tell i hope everything turnes out better than my experiances did.

again i dont want to scare you but that is my experiance iam 23 with mile mediam endo i have one tube and a whole lot of scarring that it why i have issues good luck and i hope and pray everything turns out ok

First, Congratulations on your BFP! I wouldn't panic just yet sweety. I am sitting at 3/7 pregnancies here, so I have a little expeirence. Sometimes it takes a little while longer to see those little beans. With my 6th pregnancy ( she is now 4 years old) I had to wait awhile to be able to hear her heartbeat or see her via ultrasound. I got a + bloodtest at 9 DPO and had to wait quite a while before I saw anything. It made me nervous as can be, because I am normally a very petite gal, and the Dr said that with obease women it is harder to see sometimes, but she didn't know why she couldn't see/hear my baby at 4 weeks. She closely monitered my hcg levels and they kept going up, which was a sure sign of something...then around 5-6 weeks or so......POOF!!!! There she was...my cute little bean=-) Don't lose hope, don't stress yourself out, but DO make sure you continue seeing your Dr. Make sure she is checking your HCG counts VERY often as well as ultrasounds, for the just in case senerio. Some pregnancies end up as a tubal or chemical pregnancy, and then again....some babies grow faster than others =-). You just need to stay stress free and keep your foot in your Dr's caboose=-)

Good Luck sweety

Prayers and babydust!!!

I found out I was pregnant with my son about 4 days before my missed period. I went to the dr to confirm my pregnancy and to let her know that I was having a lot of cramping and brown spotting. She sent me in for an u/s when I was about 4 weeks and 2 days I think, just to check for cysts or fibroids that may have been causing the pain. The u/s tech told me before the u/s that we wouldn't see anything and she was right. She told me that my hcg levels need to be over a certain number in order to see anything on an u/s. What are your hcg levels? It may just be too early to see anything just yet so don't lose hope! Let us know how everything goes! Good luck

My youngest is 7, so things may have changed, but my doctor would not do an u/s before 6 weeks because he said too often nothing shows up and it just scares people. The baby is just too small. Was it an abdominal or vaginal u/s?

If i were you, i would not worry. At 4 weeks pregnant the baby cannot be detected, way way too small, can hardly see it with the naked eye, its only 1 mm long at this point. A gestational sac /yolk is usually detectable by 5 weeks sometimes not until 5 weeks 4 days or so. Dont panic, you are just really early in your pregnancy. Its amazing how much the embryo grows in a period of a couple weeks, if you have another ultrasound you'll probably be able to see the baby come 6 weeks.
some women i know were not able to see the baby until week 7. Hang tight and good luck!

I agree with these ladies 4 weeks is so early. Keep chekcing those levels and go back between 6-7 weeks and you will see your little cheeto (that's what mine looked like at that stage!)

So when I had my u/s they did a internal u/s. i did my blood tests that day and they were 559 (19 DPO) the nurse told me thats a high level so Im definitely pregnant and not to worry! Thanx lady's for all the support you guys are the Best!!! Thanx again so much for all ur prayers and thoughts I just hope that when I do have another u/s I will see my lil one!!!
P.S. I heard at a level 300 they can see the sac? Is that true?

I was told that 6 weeks is the soonest to really see anything. That is when I went for my vaginal u/s. Hang in there--I know this cannot be easy with all the mixed signals. Did they draw blood yet? They had drawn mine at 4 weeks preggo & said I had to come back 3 days from that point to get another read. At 4wks I was only at 25 hcg!!! When I went back it had really gone up & all was good:-)

So I did have my hcg levels checked twice, Jan 13 (19 DPO) and it was 559 and Jan 18 (DPO 24) it was 3909 so they said it was all good! Today DPO 27 I had another ultrasound and they saw a sac and the yoke but not the baby yet they said they want me to come in for a fallow up in 2 weeks. But they said my the measurements by the sac Im 6.2 witch is rate on with my LMP and she told me they can only get an accurate date by measuring the baby so thats why I need to go back in 2 weeks. So by my dates I "O'd" on Dec 25 so that would make me 5.9 weeks but untill the next ultrasound its still up in the air but at least I know I'm still pregnant and its OK!! Thanx to you all, you ladies are the best!!! I would not have made it to my ultrasound with out all ur support and advice, Thanx again
